There are many ways in which the community can provide support to Angel’s Pediatric Heart House. While monetary donations are our biggest need, you can also help by providing items that are listed below. These items are distributed, free of charge, directly to families in South Florida at the time of their child’s heart surgery. Please note that we do not accept any used items.

Items for Hospital Care Packages
(Only New Items With Tags Accepted)

• Infant Items (newborn to 24 months):  clothing, toys, wipes, bottles, bibs, pacifiers, crib bedding, baby lotions.
• Toddler Items (age 2 to 5 years):  toys, puzzles, games, cards
• Adolescents/Teenagers (age 6 to 18):  Target or Wal-Mart gift cards in $25 increments
• Parents of heart child:  Publix, Winn Dixie and gasoline gift cards in $25 increments, Subway gift cards in $5 increments, toiletries/sundries (travel sizes).  Many families have extended stays while their child is in the hospital. In addition to having to buy their regular groceries for home, they now have added expenses during their child’s hospital stay.

Lunch Sponsorships for Hospital Visits
APHH makes monthly visits to the pediatric cardiac care units at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, Hollywood; Holtz Children’s Hospital/Jackson Memorial and Miami Children’s Hospital in Miami to deliver care packages to children undergoing open heart surgery and provide lunch to their parents.

In each hospital care package, every child up to the age of 12 receives a free Heart Shadow Buddy™ from APHH (Heart Shadow Buddies are condition specific dolls).
