Share-A-Pet Organization, Inc. is a national 501c3 non-profit, pet-assisted therapy organization, headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Our volunteers and their therapy dogs are trained, certified and insured to provide pet-assisted therapy to individuals in nursing homes, Alzheimer’s facilities and children’s centers. We have many miracle stories of our visits resulting in healing, a greater interest in life and a better quality of life. In addition, our Pawsitive Reading Program serves children in elementary schools. Our therapy teams work with children who are struggling to read and help them develop not only their reading skills, but also their self-confidence. Please contact us to set up a site visit. • Wrapping paper (holiday and non-holiday themes). We visit nursing homes on major holidays and distribute gifts to all the residents. We also give gifts to the elementary school children we visit in recognition of their efforts to improve their reading skills.
• Gift cards to Publix, Albertson’s, Whole Foods, BJ’s and Costco (this will help us with our volunteer appreciation events which are also open to the general public)
• A filing cabinet
• A volunteer with great inter personal skills, who is very good on the telephone and who has time to help us with some administrative work
• A volunteer who would like to be on our Party Animal committee and who would love to help us plan events
• A 501c3 friendly printing company we can go to for all our printing needs
• General cash donations are also a great help.
